FAQs

How long are your cruises, for how many people, and how much do they cost?

Most of our standard cruises in Duxbury Bay are 2 or 3-hour experiences for parties up to 6 people, starting at $900.00. Trips to other locations like Boston or Provincetown will be longer, and we will work with you to determine the length of the charter based on your activities.

How long does it take to get to Boston and Provincetown from the Duxbury Harbor?

We usually plan for a 1hr 30min ride to Boston and a 1hr 15min ride to Provincetown. Weather conditions can alter the timing, and we might take a little longer if we spot dolphins or whales on our journey!

What are the amenities onboard?

We have storage in the V-birth of the bow for your bags, coolers, etc. There is a small galley kitchen with a refrigerator and a full bathroom. We can easily deploy a sunshade or rainshade over the main seating area if the sun feels too intense or if we encounter a little drizzle.

How far in advance should I contact you to book a cruise?

As soon as you can! We still have dates available in 2024, but our schedule fills up quickly during the beautiful but short boating season.

What are your payment and cancellation policies?

We require a 50% deposit to secure your reservation, and the invoice will be emailed to you after we work out the details of your cruise. In the event of inclement weather and we are unable to reschedule your trip, your deposit will be fully refunded.

Meet Your Captains

First and foremost, Mark and Anna are owners and operators of their oyster farm, Deluxbury Sea Farm. They started offering charters to share their knowledge and passion about oysters, Duxbury Bay, and the surrounding beautiful waters.

  • Anna is a marine biologist who worked on commercial fishing boats and NOAA research vessels for nearly a decade before turning her focus onto oyster research. She holds a 25-Ton Captain’s License and enjoys the long summer days working on the farm.

  • Mark grew up on the waters of Duxbury Bay becoming an avid boater and fisherman at a young age. He gave up his career as a salesman when he started learning about oyster farming, and 20 years later he is still farming oysters in Duxbury Bay!
